A pie you can hold in your hand, our delicious Amish fry pies are similar to a turnover or Amish half-moon pies. Made with our own pie filling and homemade dough, the pastries are fried then sealed with a sweet vanilla-flavored glaze. Each pie is 5 oz (larger than many commercial fry pies). A great gift idea!
*For maximum enjoyment, we recommend eating these within 3 days of receipt. Keep refrigerated. They may be frozen for up to 4 months if desired.*

Fry Pie Love

I love the fry pies. My son had a Pig Roast Wedding reception this weekend. Way to hot out for cake. The fry pies were a huge hit. I walked past one elderly guest sitting with his cane and 2 pies in front of him. "nice choice", I said. His eyes twinkled and he was smiling with such joy. These are my favorite thing from Dutch Valley, he told me. I cannot make the trip there anymore and am so thrilled to have these. He thanked me for driving down to get them. He was beyond thrilled when I told him that they were shopped to my door. He was so excited. I was walking away as he was calling for his wife--he needed to place an order ! You made him so very happy and I will never forget it either. I did leave them packaged as they came and filled a basket. Pie love.
very good but limited shelf life

These pies were good however they were inedible the 3rd day we had them. It is disappointing to not be able to even try all the product. They were a soggy mush by day 3. I realize they are a fresh product but to not enjoy half the products seems like a waste for the cost. I have ordered similar products before and at least gotten 5 days. If you can consume 12 pies day 1 or 2, would recommend.

I have been ordering for years since I can't them here in St.Louis. They package them so they come in perfect condition. Great for holidays or when you have the taste for a great fried pie. Personnel are kind and value their customers as well.

I ordered 12 of the fry pies. When they arrived, they were crushed and smashed. They appeared not to have been cooked long enough, and the packaging allowed for them to move around in the box, causing them to arrive in the condition they did. I put six of the pies in the freezer, the other six I placed on a cookie sheet and baked them for about 30 minutes more. That seemed to help a little, but they were still smashed. On the plus side, the filling is very tasty, but I don't think I'll be ordering them again.

I love fried pies. Being from the south, it was something I grew up eating. It's real hard to find homemade fried pies anymore, and I haven't had a store-bought fried pie that I liked. I did an Internet search recently and found Dutchman. I purchased the sampler and haven't eaten one that haven't loved. If I could change one thing about ordering Dutchman pies online, it would be to have the option of creating my own sampler.
FRY PIE REVIEW
Posted by Ruth Fout on 29th Dec 2016
I received my 12 fry pies that I ordered and was so anxious to receive for Christmas Eve dinner. I was somewhat disappointed because the crust was so soggy and tough compared to the ones I purchased when in Amish country in the fall. Also, my niece loves raisen pie, one was labeled raisen but was really blueberry. I don't think I would order them again. I really love good fry pies.

These fry pies traveled about 2,000 miles to Washington State and arrived in excellent shape. They were generously filled and the crust was intact and flaky. Our family LOVED them. We will definitely order more for our gatherings. Love that we found a place that ships so far.
